MalleoLoc L3 laterally stabilizes the upper and lower ankle in the shoe and supports multi-stage therapies as a removable orthosis. It is particularly flat and fits therefore also in everyday shoes.

MalleoLoc L3 combines a compression bandage with an L-shaped shell, which is fixed with two inelastic straps. The shell lies laterally on the lower leg, runs in front of the outer ankle and extends over the talus. The straps run around both the lower leg and in a kind of eight-way around the foot and lower leg.

The laterally stabilizing construction counteracts the advancement of the talus, protects against supination trauma, relieves the pressure on the lateral capsular ligaments and supports conservative and postoperative therapy. The natural rolling process of the foot is not restricted. As you walk, the bandage compresses the soft tissue and helps reduce swelling. In addition, the sensorimotor is positively influenced and contributes to an active, neuromuscular stabilization.
If the need for stabilization diminishes postraumatically / postoperatively, it is possible to gradually remove the shell and then the straps. The combination of bandage and straps also acts antisupinatorisch, the bandage alone stabilizes the ankle actively on their proprioceptive effect.

Bandage and plastic shell of the MalleoLoc L3 are anatomically shaped. If necessary, the shell can be molded thermoplastically. The bandage has a practical zipper for easier donning.
